This wonderful textile is a lovely timeworn, antique French ikat fabric dating to the mid to late 18th Century! LOVELY hand dyed yarns using indigo blue. This panel is a lovely medium to light weight, soft, hand woven cotton! A charming fragment of an antique French curtain panel, this piece has the original 6 metal curtain rings along the top. The top and side edges are bordered on the backside in a handstitched, thin white curtain tape. The bottom edge has been cut, slightly unevenly. The colors are lovely, beautiful aged white and indigo blue. This textile has the most gorgeous timeworn appeal, and is generally in wonderful condition for its age. This fabric would be stunning used as is as a small curtain panel, or lovely for deconstruction for projects such as pillows, small curtains, lampshades, clothing, etc! ( TT40 )

MEASUREMENTS : This panel measures about 23 inches by 38.5 inches long.

CONDITION : This textile is in as found, unwashed condition with light storage dust. It can be easily hand washed and hung to dry,. It is gently faded with time. There are some pale storage marks near the bottom edge mostly, that may or may not wash fully. One or two TINY holes, and TINY rust marks at the top, near the tarnished metal rings. Beautiful aged condition!
