I am selling these beautiful, antique & rustic towels individually. Each of these towels is very similar to each other, but they will vary slightly in size, condition etc. Each of these wonderful antique French hand or dishtowels are made from sturdy hemp linen and date to the 1820's. These country towels have a little faded red “MM” monogram in one corner, so this could be the towel for the "MM" in your life! The monogram varies slightly from towel to towel. They are in great condition with only light signs of time and use. The linen fabric is heavy, with a pliable, floppy and smooth feel. The tone is a cool natural hemp tone. Each edge is machine stitched with a hem and the top side is selvage. There is a small loop tab for hanging on the center top edge of each towel. Great for an authentic rustic farmhouse look! These towels have many more years of use left in them but the fabric of these pieces could also be lovely for small cutting projects, these textiles make stunning pillows, upholstery fabric, etc. (TT49)

MEASUREMENTS : These towels each measure approximately 33 inches by 21 inches, but may vary slightly in side by an inch or two.

CONDITION : These towels are freshly laundered. Each towel will likely have some small sign of time and use often inherent in textiles of this age such as a pale mark or two, or a tiny hole, thin spot or tear. Generally excellent aged condition!!
