This is a set of 3 beautiful, antique & rustic towels. Each of these towels is unique, so they will vary slightly in size, condition, tone, weave, material etc. Each of these wonderful antique French large body, hand or dishtowels are made from sturdy hemp linen and cotton thread and date to the late 1700’s to early 1800's. They are in great condition with only light signs of time and use. The linen fabric is heavy, with a pliable, floppy and smooth, almost soft feel. The tones are slightly varied, but they are all a cool natural off-white tone. Each edge is machine stitched with a hem or is otherwise woven selvage. There is a small loop for hanging on the center top and bottom edge of each towel, though the loops vary in style between each towel. One of these towels has some little hand stitched mends. Great for an authentic rustic farmhouse look! These towels have many more years of use left in them but the fabric of these pieces could also be lovely for small cutting projects, these textiles make stunning pillows, upholstery fabric, etc. (TT65)

MEASUREMENTS : These towels each measure approximately 25 x 41, 22 x 44 and 27.5 x 43 inches.

CONDITION : These towels are freshly laundered. Each of these towels has some light wear and one or tow pale or tiny marks that did not wash fully. One towel appears to have once had a monogram in red that has been almost entirely unpicked. One loop on one towel is broken. Generally excellent aged condition!!
