This is a set of 3 beautiful, antique & rustic towels. Each of these towels is unique, so they will vary in size, condition, tone, weave, material etc. Each of these wonderful antique French hand or dishtowels are made from sturdy hemp linen and cotton thread and date to the 1800's. One of these has much more cotton content than the others. They are in great condition with only light signs of time and use. The linen fabric is heavy, with a pliable, floppy and smooth, feel. One of these towels is especially soft! The tones are slightly varied, bu they are all a cool natural off-white tone. Each edge is machine stitched with a hem except one edge on one towel which is selvage. There is a small loop tab for hanging on the center top and bottom edge of each towel. Great for an authentic rustic farmhouse look! These towels have many more years of use left in them but the fabric of these pieces could also be lovely for small cutting projects, these textiles make stunning pillows, upholstery fabric, etc. (TT52)
