This is a set of 3 beautiful, antique & rustic towels. Each of these towels is very similar to each other, but they will vary slightly in size, condition, tone, weave etc. Each of these wonderful antique French towels are made from sturdy hemp linen and cotton thread and date to the late 1700's to early 1800’s. These likely were once bath towels, since they are relatively large, but now make great dish or hand towels or decor! These country towels have a little faded red “AD” monogram in one corner of the top edge, so these could be the towels for the "AD" in your life! They are in great condition with only light signs of time and use. The linen fabric is heavy, with a pliable, floppy and smooth, soft feel. The tone is a cool natural off-white tone. Each edge is machine stitched with a hem and are otherwise woven selvage. There is a small loop tab for hanging on the center top and bottom edge of each towel, one towel has a different sort of loop for hanging than the other two. Great for an authentic rustic farmhouse look! These towels have many more years of use left in them but the fabric of these pieces could also be lovely for small cutting projects, these textiles make stunning pillows, upholstery fabric, etc. (TT57)

MEASUREMENTS : These towels each measure approximately 22-25 inches wide by 40-42 inches long.

Each has a softly worn surface texture and there may be a tiny hole or two on each. Generally excellent aged condition!!
