Antique French Linen Sheet Dyed Mottled Blue

A beautiful antique French sheet that I have recently dyed a lovely, natural blue tone! Beautiful, high quality linen!

A gorgeous antique French linen sheet dating to circa 1880. I've recently dyed this sheet a wonderful shade of natural deep blue that I would call royal ocean blue! It's gorgeous! This sheet is a hand woven linen and cotton blend, with more cotton than linen. This sheet is heavy weight with a lovely soft and floppy feel! There is a hand stitched center seam down the middle. On the outside edges there is a “BB” monogram in red that has been separated because in order to create even wear on a sheet overtime, the center seam was un-stitched, and the two panels were then stitched together along their exterior edges. This type of repair is seen fairly often in these heirloom textiles. This sheet took the dye unevenly in places, so there are some tonal variations.  I love this mottled look, however this sheet would not be right for someone looking for a very consistent solid toned dyed sheet. Very heavy weight, durable and beautiful. Wonderful used as is for a bed cover, throw or curtain, but the fabric is also ideal for curtains, upholstery, pillows, duvet covers, etc! This sheet weighs over 6lbs! ( TT16 )

Measurements:  This lovely textile measures 81 inches by 113.5 inches *~

CONDITION : This textile is freshly laundered and ready to use. Please expect some large, pale blotches from the dye, and unevenly dyed surface.  There may be some small pale marks as well. Please note that because this sheet was recently dyed, it should be washed on it's own for the first few washes. It can be machine washed and tumbled dry, over and over and over and the texture just gets even softer! I like to add fabric softener to the final rinse. A gorgeous textile!
